Sixteen years of getting it right — one car at a time.
Apex Motorworks opened in 2008 in a single bay on SE Division. Today we run a six-bay shop, twelve master technicians, and a courtesy fleet — but the way we work hasn’t changed.
Honest diagnostics. Printed estimates. OEM parts. A real warranty.
One bay. One mechanic. Zero shortcuts.
Apex was founded in 2008 by Marco Vega, a former BMW master technician who got tired of dealership upcharges and corner-cutting on warranty work. He rented a single-bay shop on Division Street, named it after the precision corner-line you take through a switchback, and started servicing the neighbors.
Word spread. Marco hired Dan, then Priya, then a kid named Jordan who turned out to be the best diagnostician any of them had ever met. By 2012, Apex had outgrown the bay and moved to its current six-bay home — same block, four doors down.
The shop today still runs on the same rules Marco wrote in pencil on the wall behind the parts counter:
“Show the customer the part. Show the customer the estimate. Don’t fix what isn’t broken. Warranty everything we touch.”

If anything below is ever not true on a job, we make it right — at no cost.
A written estimate, every single time.
We don’t turn a wrench until you’ve seen — and signed off on — the line-item invoice. Parts, labor, tax, total. No verbal estimates that drift at checkout.
OEM parts, unless you ask otherwise.
Original-equipment-manufacturer parts are our default. They cost a little more. They last meaningfully longer. We’ll quote aftermarket on request, but we’ll never silently substitute.
A real warranty — 12 months / 24,000 miles.
Every job we perform is warrantied on labor for one full year or 24,000 miles, whichever comes second. If our work fails in that window, we fix it free.
Honest pricing. Always.
We publish our shop rate. Diagnostics are flat-fee. Parts get marked up a fair amount — not 4x dealership pricing. You’ll see the breakdown.
On-time, or it’s on us.
Promised same-day jobs that run late earn you a $50 shop credit. We’d rather lose a little revenue than your trust.
A clean shop is a careful shop.
Six lifted bays, a dedicated paint booth, a customer lounge with espresso, and Wi-Fi worth using.
Stop in. Meet a tech. See the shop.
We give shop tours by appointment. Or just bring your car in for an estimate — no pressure, no obligation. Bring your owner’s manual if you have one.
